Running of the Bulls-REAL NZ Festival Rugby World Cup 2011

Bulls was all action on Saturday with the Running of the Bulls as part of the REAL NZ Festival and Rugby World Cup celebrations. There was plenty of fun to be had with teams competing in a Rugby style obstacle  course with a feature race between the Manawatu turbos and a Ohakea air force team, Milk sculling Competitions and Much more. EX ALL BLACK - Bull Allen was a great MC for the event and really pulled in the crowds.
Bulls has adopted South Africa as a second support team and held a South African Braii/BBQ in Honor "and it was very tasty". The day kicked of with a parade with the best dressed lambs and calf's strutting their stuff with the Marton pipe band, Ronald McDonald and Turbo Man. And ended with a aerobatic display by the Red Checkers and a huge lolly scramble.

Rugby World Cup the Talk of the Town

Feilding resident and Local Air force Corporal Steve Booker made it to the finals of New Zealand Toastmaster 2011 with this speech The All Blacks and the Rugby World Cup History, a speech on my memories of The All Blacks, of great wins and hard to swallow loses. From the inaugural World Cup win in 1987 to the heart breaking loss in 1995 to SA, and the controversy regarding the alleged poisoning. And now the path to 2011 Rugby world cup glory and the men who will do it for New Zealand.
Well done Steve, Make sure you all check it out.
